After installing the package 'gmpc-plugins' from the gmpc-trunk ppa, gmpc wouldn't start any more.

The now playing has several view options, which can be set in the metadata pane in the Preferences view. All views have checkboxes to set/unset the view, but the 'Songs from album' one is missing. This makes it impossible to disable this view.

0003437: "always_on" does not work in pipe mode --> end of track cut off

When using pipe output to stream to brutefir (stdin), "always_on" does not seem to work. Brutefir is stopped at pause and (re)started at play.
At the end of the last track of the playlist this leads to the end of the track being cut off (since brutefir produces some delay, typically up to 1 second).

ncmpc version 0.17 + ~/.ncmpc/config

When making any change to the colours section in ~/.ncmpc/config, the colour change is implemented but the text becomes a jumble of random characters. Reverting to the defaults corrects the problem with the text but loses the colours.

just an additional feature where mpc play will also accept negative numbers and will count from end of playlist backwards.

The same to be applicable for other commands that take such input. del is another one. Just like we access lists elements in programming languages with negative indices.

Since the latest git commits "add all" on a folder has its files added in inverse track order, which is sort of annoying when one's albums are sorted as directories.

I'm still getting AVDictionaryEntry build errors from the bug I reported about a week ago. The Ubuntu 11.10 build error was fixed, but I'm still seeing mpd failed with AVDictionaryEntry undeclared errors.

Album view in the playlists is needed. Aqualung, Banshee and iTunes implement this. I believe many others like me make playlists containing only albums along with the ones containing only songs and the current implementation of playlists in GMPC is not very functional in this use case.

Ability to adjust the size of cover arts in album view would be nice. Default size is uncesserily too big and I can see very few albums even in my 27" screen.

Using the "french" (fr_CA) locale, the "now playing" window is too wide, pushing the album list and artist picture to the side. A scrollbar appears, so it is still functional, but ugly. :)

A dropdown would be nicer.

The default order of the gmpc search (also the order obtained when sorting by the little unlabeled gray box on the top left; see picture) seems to be "Artist, alphabetically", which gets really annoying when searching for e.g. classical music or remix albums.

In 0.20 the order was more logical (the albums remained consistent), and in line with for instance that of ncmpc.

A floating point exception crashes ncmpcpp when I add a random number of songs equal to the total number of songs. ncmpcpp becomes unresponsive when I add a random number of artists or albums equal to the respective totals.

0002612: mpd sometimes reports old value of elapsed time in its status

If a client is using idle and it gets notification about PLAYER change (e.g. a new song has started playing or seek command was executed), and then requests status, mpd sometimes reports old elapsed time. See attached testcase: I ordered mpd to repeat (single&repeat) a song, that lasts 11 seconds.

Here's the output of this program:

As you can see, mpd sometimes reports 0, which is correct and sometimes 11, which is the last second of the track. It obviously should report 0 each time since all these events were triggered where track started playing from the beginning.

It also happens after seeking. Mpd reports the new position in track or the old one with the same randomness.

All MPD builds on versions of Ubuntu older than 12.04 alpha no longer build in git anymore. It seems to be a problem with ffmpeg.
